One Thumb Accounting App Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the One Thumb Accounting app collects, why, and how you can see, change or delete it.
Who we are
One Thumb Learning makes the One Thumb Accounting app, a course in bookkeeping and accounting on web, iOS and Android. In this policy “we” means One Thumb Learning and “you” means anyone who uses the app.
This policy covers the app only. Our website has its own privacy policy at onethumblearning.com/privacy, which covers the contact form and reviews there.
Information we collect
We collect only what the course needs to work, track your progress and improve the lessons.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, payment card details or advertising identifiers. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Microsoft, we receive your name and email from that provider, never your password.
How we use it
We use your information to run the course and make it better, nothing else.

We do not sell your information. We do not show ads, and we do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

Emails
We email you only about your account and your course.
Account emails: verifying your email address and resetting your password. These are required to use an account.
Study reminders: a short note if you haven’t studied for a while. You can turn these off in Profile Settings at any time.
Feedback replies: our answer when you send feedback to the instructor.
We do not send marketing email from the app.
Children
The app is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can see, correct or delete your information at any time.
Skip questions: every welcome question is optional, and you can skip them all.
Change settings: update your name, settings and reminder emails in Profile Settings.
Get a copy: email us to request a copy of the information we hold about you.
Delete your account: see below.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights, such as objecting to processing or complaining to a data protection authority. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever you live.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account at any time.
In the app: open Profile Settings, scroll to Delete Account, and tap Delete My Account. You will be asked to type a confirmation phrase.
Without the app: email privacy@onethumblearning.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will do so within 30 days.
What is deleted:
Your account and sign-in
Every certificate you have earned, and all progress toward certificates
Lesson progress, scores and drill results
Study time history
Feedback chats with the instructor
Your settings and welcome answers
Deleted certificates cannot be recovered, reissued or verified. Deletion cannot be undone; if you sign up again, you start over with no progress and no certificates.
Retention and security
We keep your information while your account exists, and delete it when you delete your account.
Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored with Google Firebase, which encrypts it at rest. Database rules let each user read and change only their own account data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top. For significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email.
